I love finding new Middle Eastern brands that incorporate our rich culture and design into their work. One such talent is Sarah’s Bag. I have had her on my radar since the Lebanese born designer’s first collection featuring Arabic music and film icons such as Umm Kalthoum and Abdul Halim Hafez. I love pieces that incorporate arabic calligraphy as arabic and farsi letters are like works of art. What is even better is that she works with local artisians to provide a means of rehabilitation and craft to underprivileged women. How wonderful is that?
Her latest collection has a quirkier twist to it with the introduction to pop art. It is a great way to add a little fun to your outfit, don’t you think? Available at O’de Rose Boutique, Al Wasl Road, Dubai.
أحب ألاقي براندات من الشرق الأوسط تدمج فيها ثقافتنا الغنية في التصميم. وحدة من هاي البراندات هي “سارز باق” أو بالأحرى “شنطة سارة”. كنت دايمن أتابع هالمصممة اللبنانية الأصل من أول ما نزلت مجموعتها الأولى، واللي كان مستلهم من الموسيقى العربية وشخصيات الأفلام مثل أم كلثوم وعبدالحليم حافظ. أحب القطع اللي تدمج الخط العربي فيها، أشوف الخط العربي والفارسي مثل الفن.الحلو بعد إنه هاي المصممة تشتغل مع حرفيات محليات كطريقة لتشجيع ومساعدة الحريم الغير ميسورات. حلو صح؟
مجموعتها الأخيرة مميزة ومتأثرة بثقافة وفن البوب. لمسة مرحة وحلوة تضيفونها عاللوك مب صح؟ موجود في محل “أودي روز بوتيك” في شارع الوصل بدبي. ب
